The British Royal Mint is celebrating the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, with a magnificent ₤5 crown.
United Kingdom Legal Tender
This superb coin is issued a legal tender of the United Kingdom.
Brilliant Uncirculated Quality
Struck from brilliant uncirculated cupro-nickel, the ₤5 crown measures 38.61mm in diameter and weighs 28.28g.
Rare Double Portrait
The 2007 coin’s obverse portrays a conjoint portrait of the Queen and Prince Philip, created by Ian Rank-Broadley. As one of just a handful of British coins to bear a double portrait, this release is an extremely desirable memento.
Stunning Reverse Design
The reverse features Emma Noble’s portrayal of Westminster Abbey’s rose window, symbolic of the physical location of the Royal marriage, which took place 60 years ago on 20 November 1947. The stunning design is surrounded by the Latin phrase TVEATVR VNITA DEVS, meaning ‘may God guard these united’.
Wonderful Presentation Folder
The coin is housed in a wonderful presentation folder displaying an unforgettable photograph of Princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, taken in 1947, with delightful contemporary images of the Royal couple.
Limited Availability
The British Royal Mint will release no more than 500,000 Diamond Wedding Crowns housed in this superb presentation folder.
