The 2008 Six Coin Baby Uncirculated Set from the Royal Australian Mint celebrates the children’s classic bush tale, The Magic Pudding.
Exclusive Norman Lindsay $1 Coin
Exclusive to the set is an uncirculated $1 coin with a special design portraying Norman Lindsay, author of The Magic Pudding, and four characters from his much-loved story. The coin is not available in any other Year Set and it will not be released in general circulation.
Five Circulating Coins
The set also contains five standard circulating coins – the $2 (aboriginal elder), 50c (Coat of Arms), 20c (platypus), 10c (lyrebird) and 5c (echidna) – also in uncirculated quality.
Australian Legal Tender
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse of each Australian legal tender coin.
Magic Pudding Token
The set comes with a nickel-silver token (27mm) depicting the mischievous Magic Pudding character, which can be engraved with a special message. (Purchasers should arrange to have the message inscribed by a local jeweller/engraver.)
Presentation Folder
The set is housed in a themed presentation folder and sleeve.
