The coin’s reverse combines struck and coloured pictorial elements representing the
Australian Capital Territory. As well as a coloured illustration of Australia’s Parliament
House, situated on Canberra’s Capital Hill, the design includes a Royal Bluebell, the
Territory’s floral emblem, and a Gang-gang Cockatoo, its faunal emblem.

The coin’s reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears
the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
