£2 King James Bible
The £2 coin commemorates the 400th anniversary of the first publication of the King James Bible, one of the best-loved bible translations.
50p World Wildlife Fund 50th Anniversary
In 1961, a group of eminent wildlife experts joined forces to tackle environmental problems across the world. Fifty years on, the WWF panda logo is recognised worldwide as a symbol of conservation and sustainable development. The Royal Mint marks this 50th anniversary with a specially designed 50p coin.
£1 Cities Series – Edinburgh and Cardiff
The final two £1 coins complete the series of four, celebrating the great cities of the UK.
The reverses of each bear the heraldic devices of Edinburgh, Cardiff, London and Belfast.
Designed by Stuart Devlin.
EIGHT CIRCULATING COINS
£2 Technology
When it was first struck in 1997, the £2 coin was the first bi-colour coin of the United Kingdom. The reverse design is the result of a public competition and celebrates the march of technological progress in Britain from the Iron Age to the Internet Age.
£1 Royal Arms
Unveiled in 2008, the definitive £1 design depicts the shield of the Royal Arms, a symbol of Britain’s ancient royal heritage.
1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p
Like the definitive £1 coin, Matthew Dent created the designs for Britain’s lower denomination coins. Each coin portrays a portion of the shield of the Royal Arms. When arranged correctly, they depict the famous shield in its entirety.
COLOURFUL PRESENTATION FOLDER
The coins are housed in a colourful and informative presentation folder.
