Covering the period from the outbreak of The Great War, until the guns finally fell silent more than four years later, this collection unites the five different sovereign dates struck at The Perth Mint from 1914 to 1918.
Historic Perth Mint Sovereigns
Struck from 7.98 grams of 22-carat (91.67%) pure gold and measuring 21.5mm in diameter, each of the five coins are genuine gold sovereigns minted during World War I.
Iconic St George and the Dragon Reverse Design
Graded EF – Unc., the reverse of each coin portrays Benedetto Pistrucci's classic St George and the dragon design, and The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark.
The obverse of each coin depicts the original portrait of King George V which was represented from 1911 to 1928.
The Great War Gold Sovereign Collection is housed in a lavish black timber case with a Certificate of Authenticity.
