Gilded Ox Design
This Gilded Edition coin from the Australian Lunar Silver Coin Series celebrates the Year of the Ox with a design depicting an ox gilded in 24-carat gold. As well as the ox’s Chinese lunar year-date, the design includes the Chinese character for ‘ox’ and a border of bats and clouds symbolising health, peace and prosperity.

Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2007 year-date on the obverse.
