Stunning Design

This intricately engraved dragon is a miniature work of art. Based on imperial designs taken from the Chinese Emperor's robe, the dragon is shown flying among the clouds, gazing at a pearl. Dragons are the ultimate symbols of good luck in Chinese mythology, and are masters of all domains. The clouds symbolise good fortune and happiness, while the pearl symbolises purity and preciousness, and is perpetually sought by the dragon. The design is surrounded by the 'five bats', which denote longevity, peace, prosperity, integrity and a full life. Purple and yellow represent the traditional colours used on the Chinese Emperor's robe. The design also includes the Chinese character for dragon.

All coins are struck from 99.9% pure silver with a polished design on a frosted background. The coins are official coinage and legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. Serial-numbered Certificates of Authenticity accompany each coin. Each Dragon coin also features an individual serial number around its edge.
