A massive 1 kilo silver coin creates an impression, but add diamonds to the design and it can't fail to catch your eye. The combination of 1 kilo of 99.9% pure silver, coloured border designs and 0.02-carat golden coloured diamonds, creates prestigious gifts or unique additions to your collection. Stunning Design The design features a rabbit sitting up in the grass, and the Chinese character for rabbit to signify the sign's place in the Chinese lunar calendar. The central design is surrounded by a border of five bats, which symbolise longevity, health, peace, prosperity and integrity. Purple and yellow represent the traditional colours used on the Chinese Emperor's robe. Year of the Rabbit The recent Chinese Year of the Rabbit covered the period 16 February 1999 to 4 February 2000. People born in the Year of the Rabbit - 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, and 1999 - are said to be articulate, talented, virtuous, sensitive to the arts and long living. They display wisdom and excellent taste, are clever in business and usually lucky. They lead lives of tranquillity and refinement. Like their namesake, they are shy and gentle, yet cunning and quick to avoid trouble. In love they are tender, but with a tendency to be moody and distant. Unique Timber Presentation Each coin is housed in a jarrah timber display case, which is seated in a tray that tilts to display the coin when the lid is opened. It is accompanied by a serial-numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Quality Guaranteed All coins are struck from 99.9% pure silver with a frosted design on a polished background. The coins are official coinage and legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. Serial-numbered Certificates of Authenticity accompany each coin. Each rabbit coin also features an individual serial number around its edge. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II The obverse features the effigy of the modern sculpture of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created by Ian Rank-Broadley. Limited Mintage Each coin has a limited mintage of 5,000.
