The design also includes the year-date, the Chinese character for ‘dog’, and a border of bats and clouds symbolising health, peace and prosperity. Specimen Quality 99.9% Pure Silver This specimen quality Gilded Edition coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver. Australian Legal Tender Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, it features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
