Year of the Pig Design In 2007, the Australian Lunar Silver Coin Series - Diamond Eye Kilo Coin celebrates the Year of the Pig with a design depicting a piglet with patches on its head and back standing on a bed of leaves.
Hand Set Diamond The design incorporates a 0.02-carat hand set diamond in the piglet's visible eye. Other design elements on the coin's reverse include the Chinese character for ‘pig’, and a symbolic border of yellow bats and purple clouds - colours traditionally used on the Chinese Emperor's robe.
Specimen Quality 99.9% Pure Silver This specimen quality Diamond Eye coin is struck from a massive 1 kilo of 99.9% pure silver.
Australian Legal Tender Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, it features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
