Gilded Pig Design In 2007, the Australian Lunar Silver Coin Series - Gilded Edition celebrates the Year of the Pig with a design depicting a piglet with patches on its head and back standing on a bed of leaves. The piglet has been gilded in 24-carat gold. The design also includes the year-date, the Chinese character for ‘pig’, and a border of bats and clouds symbolising health, peace and prosperity.
Specimen Quality 99.9% Pure Silver This specimen quality Gilded Edition coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver.
Australian Legal Tender Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, it features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
Gold-Coloured Presentation Case The coin is housed in a gold-coloured presentation case, which is encased within a gold-coloured outer box.
