Coloured Dragon Reverse Design
The reverse of the coin depicts a purple dragon and a representation of a ‘pearl of wisdom’. The colour purple is symbolic of wealth and is considered to represent purity and healing. The Chinese character for ‘dragon’ and the inscription YEAR OF THE DRAGON also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
