The Perth Mint and Australia Post are pleased to celebrate Chinese New Year with a stunning Stamp and Coin Cover.
Chinese New Year is one of the most important celebrations and holidays for Chinese people. The festival is a time for families to reunite, to honour household and heavenly deities, as well as ancestors, and remains the most important social and economic holiday in China.
Unique Dragon Design
The reverse of the coin features a dragon draped around a red lantern with a red banner running down the length of the coin depicting the Chinese characters for ‘Happy New Year’. The design also features The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Tuvalu Legal Tender
This uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu and features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2017 year-date on the coin’s obverse.
Official Australia Post Stamp and Beautifully Designed Presentation Envelope
This uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Post $3 and $1 stamps. The stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
