Ever considered your ‘ruling’ animal to be a goat? According to the ancient Chinese Lunar Calendar, people born in 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991 and 2003 are born in the Year of the Goat.
Gilded Goat Design This Australian Lunar silver coin celebrates the Year of the Goat. This coin’s reverse depicts a mother and kid goat, which have been gilded in 24-carat gold. The design also includes the Chinese character for ‘goat’, and a border of five bats among the clouds, symbolising health, peace and prosperity.
99.9% Pure Silver The specimen quality coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver with selective 24-carat gilding on the reverse.
Australian Legal Tender Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, it features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
