Captain Archer was the commanding officer of the Starship Enterprise NX-01, United Earth’s first fully-fledged starship, from 2151 until 2161.
The Enterprise NX-01 was the first NX-class starship launched by the United Earth Starfleet in 2151, establishing it as a legitimate power and causing a wholesale revolution in Alpha and Beta Quadrant politics, paving the way for the creation of the Coalition of Planets in 2155, and eventually the United Federation of Planets in 2161.

Star Trek Reverse Design
The Captain Archer coin’s reverse portrays a colour image of Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer as he appeared in Star Trek: Enterprise, against a representation of the Enterprise NX-01 and the inscription CAPTAIN JONATHAN ARCHER. The design also includes The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight and fineness.

Tuvalu Legal Tender
The coins are issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu and feature the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date on their obverses.

Star Trek Themed Presentation Packaging and Numbered Certificate
The two-coin set is housed in a replica of a Star Trek transporter machine which lights up when the lid is opened, and a Star Trek themed shipper. Each set is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Star Trek: Enterprise is set at the beginning of the Star Trek series timeline and follows the 22nd century adventures of Captain Jonathan Archer aboard the Enterprise NX-01 during the early days of interstellar travel.
