The Perth Mint and Australia Post are pleased to present a delightful coin and stamp featuring the Striated Pardalote. This delightful bird inhabits nearly all areas of Australia. Despite being small in size, some populations undertake remarkable migratory movements, while others remain in the same area throughout the year.
Unique Reverse Design
The coin’s reverse depicts an irresistible image of a Striated Pardalote perched on a tree branch. The design also features the inscription STRIATED PARDALOTE PARDALOTUS STRIATUS and the monetary denomination of $1.
Tuvalu Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the obverse of the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and the 2013 year-date.
Official Australia Post Stamp
Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Post $3.00 stamp. The stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity and official number.
Beautifully Designed Presentation Envelope
This uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card that fits inside a similarly illustrated envelope with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
