Stunning Reverse Design
Captured in stunning colour, the coin’s reverse depicts a male surfer with his surfboard at the beach against a map of Australia. The inscription THE LAND DOWN UNDER and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also incorporated in the design.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date and the monetary denomination.
Contemporary Australian Map-Shaped Display Case and Numbered Certificate
