Coloured Pig Design
In 2007, the Australian Lunar Silver Coin Series - Coloured Edition celebrates the Year of the Pig with a colourful design featuring a piglet with patches on its head and back standing on a bed of leaves. The design also includes the year-date, the Chinese character for ‘pig’, and a border of bats and clouds symbolising health, peace and prosperity.
Specimen Quality 99.9% Pure Silver
These specimen quality Coloured Edition coins are struck from 1oz and 5oz of 99.9% pure silver. (1oz denomination used in obverse illustration.)
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coins depict Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
Presentation Packaging
The 1oz coin is housed in a gold-coloured presentation case, which is encased within a gold-coloured outer box. The 5oz coin is housed in a prestigious sheoak timber presentation case.
Certificate of Authenticity
A numbered Certificate of Authenticity accompanies each coin.
Limited Release
