The Perth mint's standard-size blanks range from one kilogram through to 1/20oz. However, the Mint is equipped to produce blanks in virtually any shape or size imaginable. Typically, precious metal blanks are supplied in the following metals:
- Gold 9999
- Gold alloys
- Silver 999
- Silver alloys
- Platinum 9995
- Palladium 9995

Bi-metal blanks can be supplied in component form or pre-assembled.
Blanks can be supplied in annealed or hard condition.
The surface finishes available are "as rolled", pickled and burnished, with surface roughness ranging from 0.05 microns to 1.0 microns.
Minimum mass can be guaranteed and full 'giveaway' controlled to tight limits. In addition to supplying high quality blanks, The Perth Mint also provides assistance to enable the customer to achieve the highest quality finished product.
Metal Aquisition Arangements
Clients may supply metal directly to The Perth Mint for processing, or via bullion banks. Alternatively, the Mint's Treasury provides services that include:
• Sale of metal for spot or forward purchase
• Metal price-fixing mechanisms
• Metal leasing at competitive market rates
