Live gold pour

Witness a traditional gold pour in our original 1899 melting house, one of our most memorable experiences. This spectacle allows you to see pure gold heated to molten temperatures, transforming as it cools into a gleaming solid gold bar.

Includes the live gold pour, one-tonne gold coin, gold nugget and coin displays, chance to hold a large gold bullion bar, scales to check your weight and value in gold and mesmerising  journey of gold discovery.

Trip Advisor

“You really cannot visit Perth without visiting the Mint. Apart from the fact that the building is so beautiful, take the tour and be entertained and amazed, watching a gold bar being cast. You can also try to lift one of the gold bars too (it looks so easy but is so very heavy.”
