Visit the Mint

Enjoy free entry to the Gold Exhibition from 8 to 12 May 2017

During this time we will be undergoing some exciting renovations in our original Melting House to make way for new and improved seating. To accommodate these improvements we are offering free guided heritage talks and free entry to the exhibition (during our normal tour times of 9.30am until 3.30pm daily).

*Please note that there will be limited access to the exhibition on the above mentioned dates and we will not be running our hourly gold pours. The complete Perth Mint tour and exhibition experience will recommence on 13 May 2017 and online bookings will be available from that date. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Located in Perth, Western Australia, and still operating in our original heritage premises in the east end of the city, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination giving visitors the rare opportunity to discover the magic, allure and wonder of gold through our unique combination of attractions, exhibitions and live demonstrations.

Visit us today and discover the tremendous impact that the discovery of gold has had on shaping Western Australia when you take part in one of our hourly tours, which includes entry to the dazzling Gold Exhibition. See the Guinness World Record holding Australian Kangaroo One Tonne Gold Coin, witness the amazing spectacle of a traditional gold pour, find out what your weight is worth in gold, and engrave your very own medallion!

You can also discover an array of treasures in our elegantly appointed retail shop which offers a glittering choice of Australian gold, silver and platinum coins, natural gold nuggets, exquisite jewellery, precious stones and an exclusive range of gifts and souvenirs.

The Shop is an authorised stockist of popular brands including Argyle Pink Diamonds, Ellendale Yellow Diamonds, Kailis Australian Pearls, CoinWatch timepieces, Pandora Jewellery, Pierre Cardin watches, Guess Jewellery, Waterford, Wedgwood, Royal Selangor, Truffle Hill, Thurlby and many others.

You can also take a moment to indulge in a traditional Devonshire Tea or relax with coffee and cake in our tranquil courtyard café.
