From your mine to our refinery
Follow these steps for a seamless journey to payment.
Step 1: Understanding refining
As a new producer, we will help you understand the refinery landscape by guiding you through the onboarding and new account application process. This can be done over the phone or at the refinery where we can demonstrate how we process and refine gold doré.
Step 2: Competitive proposal
Once we understand your specific business and project needs, we will put a competitive proposal together for your review. This will be based on volumes, mine location, frequency of deliveries, anticipated assay and payment requirements.
Step 3: Secure shipping
Once you’re ready, your metal doré will be shipped to The Perth Mint Refinery with an approved security transport provider.
Step 4: Determining purity
The precious metals are melted to obtain a truly representative sample, and then undergo a dual stream fire assay analysis to ensure we determine its purity to an accuracy that exceeds the Australian standard.
Step 5: Payment
We will process your metal for quick and timely payment. Payment is based on the final troy ounces of gold and silver determined in your metal and the current spot price.
